Attorney (Immigration Law - JD & LLM Required)
Minimum Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
• Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
• Both JD and LLM are required due to the complex nature of BIA appeals and the firm’s concentration in immigration law.
• Strong background in immigration law, international law, and human rights.
• At least one year of prior practice in immigration law as an attorney.
• Active state bar license and valid EOIR registration number.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to multiple immigration courts and asylum offices in Northern California (Sacramento, Concord, San Francisco, Oakland).
Wage & Employment Terms:
• Wage: $114,500 per year, with the possibility of a higher wage based on experience.
• Full-time, permanent position.

Job Description:
The attorney will:
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
• Represent individuals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), EOIR immigration courts, and government agencies.
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Gather and evaluate evidence, interview clients and witnesses, and prepare strategies for defense and appeals.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents in complex immigration matters.
• Advise clients on immigration law issues.
• Confer with colleagues and supervise legal assistants.
• Present and argue cases in hearings, trials, and appeals.
